EverQuest: Gates of Discord - Archer

This was one of the designs I created for the Gates of Discord expansion for EverQuest.

The backstory here is of a Dragon that lives in a dimension without light, and he enlists powerful creatures of different races to fight in his army.
I imagined that when arriving in a realm with light it would be blinding to a creature native to a lightless environment, so this race would stitch their eyes shut, not to be blind, but to simply minimize the amount of light hitting their eyes. They would still perceive the world around them while looking through their eyelids because of how sensitive their senses are.
I also thought they would operate in their native realm by using infravision to detect heat signatures, so I invented a ritual where they burn patterns on their skin to create scar tissue, that would have less circulation and appear as camo to heat vision races.
I took a traditional Japanese archery stance and asymmetrical bow because I thought it looked exotic to western eyes.
