Chaotic Trading Card Game: Maxxor, Defender of Perim

I worked collaboratively with Khary Rhandolph and Emilio Lopex on this card. Khary started the initial drawing and Emilio worked on the base colors. My job was to take the image and add additional polish and strengthen the design before print.

You can see the sequence of steps in the additional images. Khary and Emilio are amazing artists and either could of easily completed this image, but due to tight deadlines we often worked collaboratively as a trio to meet our teams goals. Even so, it was really fun to take the image and intensify the face expression and polish the armor details. This final pass included repainting details like eyes, adding longer hair, defining facial features, as well as adjusting the overall colors.This character also happens to be the franchise mascot, so this image was used on packaging and box art, as well as advertisements and commercials.
