Dragon Sketches

Dragon Sketchbook Page:
I’ve been problem-solving some dragon ideas I had for a sea dragon (bottom), a Mayan inspired Quetzalcoatl dragon (bottom left), my take on a classic Dungeons & Dragons Blue Dragon (center right), an Asian inspired storm dragon (top left), and in the top right an experimental idea for a dragon influenced by the black palm cockatoo.

I used alcohol-based markers, black fine liners, mechanical pencils, and a few drops of white gouache.

I also spent a fair amount of time looking at pictures of different animals for ideas.
