COTD: The Lost Library

This image was an illustration I made for the Court of the Dead book about a library and its keeper, that houses all the worlds forgotten and lost books. If they dissapear from the land of the living, the scroll/book/tablet will appear in this library. One of the principles I used in the design of the Underworld across all of the art I made for COTD was to allow pieces of things to slowly appear in the Underworld as they might have slowly disappeared from the mortal realm.

It should be evident that Maxfield Parish is an artist that I took a lot of inspiration from and is one of my favorites to learn from.
