Another page from my sketchbook of dragons. I often draw a group of faces to help me explore possible themes to model or paint on the computer and try to capture the essential details that will drive the look of the rest of the Dragon in just the head.
When making monsters and dragons, I like to take some time to look at animals and their anatomy and then combine those details with my ideas to make something new.

Tools: I drew these with a mechanical pencil, 10 percent and 30 percent cool grey copic markers, Prismacolor black pens #01 and #03, and 2 fluorescent pens.
