George Dawe vs. Tank: digital paint and photo composite

This was my attempt at combining a friends Doggo with a George Dawe portrait. I love it even more in a antique gold frame. I worked originally from a photo of Tank, then slowly painted in photoshop proper lighting and details, reworking the eyes and angle of light, and finished by integrating the texture surface of the original painting with the updated dog head.
